The Elderly often feel unsafe and lonely being mostly by themselves. Having someone around gives them a sense of comfort and safety especially in cases of an emergency. Our Caregivers will be with the Elderly at all times keeping them company whether it is to stay indoors, attend an activity or an event, get some fresh air or go for a quick walk. Some of the indoor activities that our Caregivers typically do with the Elderly are help them with puzzles, watch TV with them, play solitaire, read a book and do physical exercises. Whatever interests your Elderly may have, please let us know so our Caregivers can help keep them engaged and active that can help with their overall well-being.

Our Caregivers have experience in assisting the elderly whether they are using walkers, crutches, wheelchairs and other assistive walking devices. 

Our Caregivers strives to keep the Senior’s residence as safe, clean and organized. Some of the light housekeeping we can assist with are meal planning and cooking, washing and putting dishes away, taking out the trash, changing sheets and making the bed and putting dirty clothes to the hamper.

Please discuss with your Care Manager what specific assistance you need when it comes to your loved one's medicines. We can discuss this part thoroughly with you during the Care Orientation and Briefing.

Bathing and grooming (i.e. combing their hair, getting dressed, brushing their teeth etc.) are part of the Caregiving services we provide if the Elderly allows it. The Caregivers can help make sure that the Elderly is cleaned properly and in the event they are wearing diapers, they are changed regularly. Sponge baths may also be an option so please discuss this with our staff during the Free Assessment meeting. We can also arrange for the Caregivers to take them to a barber, hairstylist or nail salon if needed.

Lakshmi Home Care LLC helps the Elderly in doing daily errands from helping them with their mail, picking up prescriptions, dry-cleaning or buying items from the grocery. Our Caregivers can drive and will be willing to assist on these types of needs.

Whatever errand you need help with, please make sure to discuss with our Staff and we can determine whether this is something we can assist with.

Helping the Elderly get around and about is one of the services Lakshmi services offer. We can take them to their doctor’s appointments, hair appointment, family dinner, see a musical etc. We can also take them shopping or help them do their errands. Please make sure to mention to us if the Elderly uses a wheelchair so we can make sure we have the right vehicle when transporting the Elderly. In the event that the elderly is non-ambulatory, we can also coordinate with them or their family for ADA paratransit services.

We may help assist the Elderly recovering from surgery or procedures (i.e. Knee Replacement, Hip Replacement, Cataract surgery etc.). Our services include companionship, assistance with ADLs, meal preparation etc. to ensure the Elderly is comfortable while recovering.
